Madswimmer is a South African registered non-profit charity organisation that hosts extreme swims in South Africa, as well as globally to raise funds for children’s charities.   

Madswimmer will be hosting an extreme swim challenge for the first time in Namibia i.e. a one day 24 km ocean swim from Pelican Point Lighthouse in Walvis Bay to the Swakopmund Lighthouse on the best weather day on 22 or 23 or 24 February 2020.  The swim is planned for the month with the warmest average sea temperature of 18 degrees Celcius.  Swimmers can either swim the full distance or a partial distance.  

25 Swimmers will be attempting this challenge to raise much needed funds for the Stepping Stone Special Education School in Swakopmund, Namibia and Guild Cottage Treatment Centre for Troubled Children in South Africa.
