Personal message

I am Lianté van Eeden, a nineteen-year-old female. I am a first-year engineering student at the University of the Free State. I was involved in a motorcycle accident on the 2nd of September 2023, I dislocated my hip, shattered my ankle, broke my heel and tore my tendons. The doctors told my family and I that there was a strong possibility of amputation due to the extent of my injuries. They could luckily save my leg, but there is a very real possibility of me never having full function of my left leg and foot. There is also a possibility of me needing a hip replacement in the near future.

As a result of the accident, I could not complete my first year and I have to repeat it this year.

My medical insurance refuses to cover various treatments leaving me in debt. I am unemployed and my parents are not financially able to cover all of the medical bills.

I am asking you to please help me pay off my medical debt. By paying off my medical debt, I will be able to fully concentrate on my studies and my recovery, as well as start my adult-life with a clear credit-record.
