Dear Sailing Community,                                                                                  

We hope this message finds you well, albeit with heavy hearts as we reach out to you with an urgent request for support.

One of our beloved members, Laura Ewart-Phipps, is currently facing an incredibly challenging time. Laura has recently undergone major surgery and is now in the process of recuperating in the ICU. As many of you know, the road to recovery from such a procedure can be costly, long and arduous, both physically and emotionally.

What makes this situation even more difficult is the astronomical cost of the operation. Laura, as a single mother to her son Luke, an outstanding young member of our club, stands by his mother's side during this challenging period, and as a tight-knit community, we feel compelled to offer our support in any way we can.

Therefore, we are reaching out to each and every member of our sailing community, humbly asking you to open your hearts and contribute to this cause. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in alleviating the challenges that Laura and Luke are facing.

We have set up a Back a Buddy page where you can contribute directly to Laura's medical expenses. Your generosity will not only provide financial relief but also serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity for Laura and her family during this trying time.
