What is art?

What is filmmaking? What do these two concepts mean to me? Arts and filmmaking, this is my passion. This is what I live for. My dreams for my future.

Ever since I was a little boy, my biggest dream has always been to film and produce my own television programs and movies. I now have the opportunity to go and study for this dream of mine, but as for many other South African students, I am facing an obstacle. Due to financial difficulties, my family is unable to pay for my studies and that is why I started this fundraiser.

Why should you consider me before any other applicants? Not only am I planning to enrich the filmmaking industry with my productions, but I also hope to improve our economy. After I earned my degree in arts and film production my plan is to employ South African actors, actresses, cameramen, sound engineers, designers, makeup artists, etc. to help with future productions which I will be producing.

By employing all these people, I will help our economy by decreasing the unemployment rate in South Africa and provide more job opportunities for my fellow South Africans so that they can provide for their families with food, clothes, and warm homes. Not only will I try and do the above-mentioned, if given this opportunity I would also like to one day help others in my position, to achieve their dreams.

I believe that one day, with this opportunity, I will be one of South Africa's most creative and best-known film producers that will show the whole world how rich South Africans are in their culture and traditions!
