Personal message

Janine and I are both keen runners and are the proud parents of two amazing boys. We could not even begin to imagine what parents and children go through when faced with the challenges of fighting a disease like cancer. In the past Janine raised funds for Rainbows and Smiles, leading up to her second comrades and she also raised funds when she completed an ultra marathon distance in our backyard during lockdown, we also ran the "race the Comrades Legends" virtual 45km during lockdown to raise awareness for Rainbows and Smiles.

This year I will be running my first comrades, and Janine will be running it too. As parents we would like to try and make a difference in the lives of those children and parents who are fighting the fight of their lives. Although it will only relieve a small amount of financial pressure, it will at least be an attempt to help. We would really appreciate your support and any amount is greatly appreciated and so well utilized by the incredible charitable organization, Rainbows and Smiles.
