My name is Jenny Frankfort and I am the proud mother of three children. My eldest daughter, Kaydee, is 15 and this campaign is for her.
Kaydee was born with a severe hearing dissability, but she was only diagnosed at 8 years old. She was given a hearing aid, but unfortunately about three weeks ago, everything took a turn for the worse and we found out her hearing has deteriorated.
Kaydee is now a high school student, and recently we found out she has not been attending school, because she is being bullied and name called because of her hearing aids. Due to the bullying her self confidence has taken a beating. She desperetely needs new hearing aids that are less visible and will be better suited for the classroom. Unfortunately these hearing aids cost R40 000 and we cannot afford it.
We humbly ask for any donations to help pay for Kaydee's new hearing aids so that she can have a chance to hear normally and be able to function at school, and enjoy a normal teenage life. Being able to finally perform at school will give her the opportunity for a brighter future.
