I am Karabo Malejoane from Kroonstad, Free State. I'm a final year BA Social Science in Psychology and Sociology at University of Free State.
I have come to this platform to reach help from you because from my first year till last year I was funded by NSFAS bursary, but unfortunately it rejected funding me for this current year due to academic ineligibility as a result of N+ rule exceeded. I am affected by this rule because before I got admitted to the university, I studied at Motheo College but I had to drop out cause I got the space in a course I didn't want to study but took it for the sake of not taking a gap year. I have already applied some bursaries but they were unsuccessful.
The financial struggle threatens to derail my dream, as my legal guardian can't afford to pay my registration nor tuition fees with the little she earns. I am reaching out to ask for your financial assistance in covering registration fee (R8770.00) and books (R8157.00), so that I may be able to register as I wait for NSFAS bursary appeals applications to open. The registrations are starting from 29 January to 12 February 2024. The quotation already shows the costs which I marked with red colour.Thank you for taking time to read my story and thank you in advance for your contributions.
