Personal message

Hi there! My name is Justin Peach and I am the Development Chair of the Cape Town Flying Disc Association. Together with Asanda Nanise, we are the founders of Jula iSitya NPC “Throw a Plate” which is excited to present the first Ultimate Frisbee Boot Camp in Cape Town.

This boot camp aims to provide comprehensive training and skill development opportunities for 40 high school learners, fostering a community of passionate Ultimate Frisbee players who will serve as ambassadors for the sport in their respective social circles and communities. The camp specifically aims to cross racial and socioeconomic by providing coaching to learners who come from underfunded backgrounds.

We are raising funds to support those who attend and cover the camp's expenses. The camp will provide extensive coaching with a high coach-to-learner ratio, accommodation, field access, catering, kit, photographers, first aid, and an actionable post-camp report that will show where the learner can improve on an individual level.

GOALS
1. Up-skill and develop extensively the Ultimate Frisbee abilities of 40 high school learners throughout a weekend.
2. Engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and foster a sense of belonging and
camaraderie through the shared love of the sport.
3. Provide training for coaches attending to develop their coaching abilities.
4. Create Ultimate Ambassadors of the sport and further drive development

Your Contribution will directly affect the possibility of this camp being realised. Any aid will be welcomed graciously!
