Personal message

My daughter Joli urgently needs new spectacles. Her day hospital issued pair broke, but they were not up to par. She needs a pair that is tailor-made for her eyesight since she has a lazy left eye.

Her father and I are financially unable to give her this service; therefore, I make this public plea as her mother. Thank you to all who would and will consider helping us. We will appreciate it more than words will be able to say.

Joli was born with a squint eye and did receive the best treatment when her father still had medical aid, but being retrenched deprived us and her of that privilege. I took her to the day hospital to have a new pair made, but she kept on complaining of the poor quality of sight through the left lens.

Complaining about it would have been in vain, so this was to have been the year that I would have started saving a decent amount to get her the right fit for her eyes. But a freak accident occurred and has put paid to that plan.

Joli truly cannot see without her specs, especially for school. So, I really heartfeltly appeal for a sympathetic heart. She has passed and will be starting grade 11 this year with many nerves yet excited as well. I thank you for just reading this missive.
