Personal message
Mental health in Southern Africa is reaching shocking levels as people are not seeking or have access to affordable and reliable mental health support services in Africa...
The SOUTHERN AFRICAN MENTAL HEATH INSTITUTE (SA-MHI) was established to promote mental health and support people struggling with mental health conditions...
With studies revealing the poor standing of mental health in Africa, on whom does the onus fall to remedy lack of resources and support services?
However limited, looking at what evidence we do have, one can safely conclude that the state of mental health services are in severe crisis. Yet, despite the acute need for it, Southern Africa’s mental healthcare resources are wholly unequipped to handle the burden placed on them.
In our quest to fight the mental health STIGMA and spread mental health awareness throughout Southern Africa, we desperately need funding to finance our awareness campaigns, research initiatives and community outreach programs and services.
Without adequate financial support we will not be able to uphold our promise to make a meaningful contribution towards the initiation and implementation of effective, accessible and affordable complementary mental health services in Southern Africa.
Your contribution can save lives, improve and really make a difference in the quality of life for people living with mental health challenges... BECAUSE MENTAL HEALTH IS REAL, AND IT MATTERS!!!!
Please consider covering the platform fee so more of your donations goes to our project.
