Please assist this man who at age of 19 due to cancer in his hip had to have his leg amputated.He is a hard working Christian, always willing to assist who has been running a building/renovation business for 13 years with 12 employees.
COVID for 2 years caused devastation for most and he lives in a Tourist destination area, so there was no work to be done or travelling. He slowly started operating in 2021 with practically no operational capital.
His 2008 Mazda bt 50 automatic bakkie 2x4 needs gearbox overhaul and he has received quotes of R35000 - R45000. He had the engine overhauled last year at a cost of R43000 and was told there was a problem with gearbox which would cost an additional R17000 which he did not have so carried on driving and after 3 months the gearbox packed up.
He has not worked for months and all his employees have found alternate work as they have families to feed.
I met this man while running a Bed and Breakfast Guesthouse which required a bathroom renovation removing bath and addition of a shower and new handbasin, toilet and full tiling. He would drop 2 employees each day and discuss details of the work for the day with me.
Can anyone assist with donations or repair work to get his bakkie going so that he can get his business up and running again.
Cancer and continued life pressure is always a risk.
He deserves a break.
