Personal message
My name is Jenny Alexander born and raised in the Northern Cape, Kimberley.
The most important reason why I am interested to be part of the Two Oceans Marathon race is because I am privilege to be granted an opportunity to support kids with special needs. I have chosen to race for Rainbows & Smiles as I have a deep routed passion for children and exposure as a Children’s Church Teacher intensified it. This is the main reason why I chose this organisation as it focuses on children with severe medical conditions.
Children are the most vulnerable members of our community and more so those who have their health compromised. An initiative as worthy as one that blows hope into children’s attention and opportunity to be noticed and I am so happy to personally contribute and advertise awareness of such a course.
I am looking forward to run this race for the Rainbows & Smiles as it is not about winning but my ultimate goal will be racing towards making a difference in a child’s life.

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
