Personal message

I feel privileged to have the opportunity to part take in the two oceans half marathon, for 2019 again in aid of Rainbows and Smiles, a fantastic organisation dedicated to an incredibly important cause.

I know families with children that are very ill and I know the financial and emotional strain it puts on a family.

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer.

Beyond handling physical challenges and medical needs, parents and siblings have to deal with their child's emotional needs and the impact that a prolonged illness can have on the entire family.

Luckily we have people in this world with passionate hearts and sensible mind-sets who is willing to assist in matters as these.

I would like to thank all the sponsors of last year for your donation without your input it would not have been possible for these kids to be assisted with their medical needs.

This year we hope to raise even more and we need your help to reach our goal.
