Personal message

I have grown up around Porsches with my dad’s workshop just a few meters from our house. I spent many nights after school helping my dad out while he fixed and built cars, I am now a qualified mechanic and have built a couple of Porsche engines by myself.

I became interested in racing only a few years ago, I started with 2 stroke motorbikes in the Historic Motorbike Group class and fell in love with the feeling of pushing limits. I started car racing a bit later when my dad roped me into doing an endurance race with him and haven’t wanted to stop. - Jen

In this year’s Simola Hillclimb I will be racing in the ladies’ team to raise funds for Knysna Sedgefield Hospice which offer accredited palliative care for both adults and children.

The funds I hope to raise will assist Knysna Sedgefield Hospice to offer:

  1. Palliative, home-based care for those individuals (adults & children) suffering from a life-threatening illness.
  2. To support the right to decent and dignified end-of-life care.
  3. To provide the best possible holistic palliative care and support.

To support a multi-disciplinary team that works together to give hope, dignity and relief to every patient, as well as bereavement, and other support to their children and families.

“We cannot do it alone and invite you to change the lives of our patients, even at their very end. Your contribution, whether large or small, is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in strengthening our hands to care for and treat our patients.”
