Personal message
Going on 40 I figured that I would try becoming the healthiest and fittest I have ever been through this journey we all call life. In 2017 I bought some running shoes and started the thing called running, after no time at all I was injured and there went all possible chance of training for this years 2018 Ultra 2 Oceans.
But not was all lost, I decided that I could still get some training in to run the 21km 2 Oceans marathon, and what better than to join up with a charity in the process. We are all faced with challenges in life, some we overcome by supports structures or from help from our nearest and dearest.
I decided to run for Rainbows and Smiles, this charity has a daily mission to provide various services to families with children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Some struggles just seem impossible at times, if we can make a difference in a family’s life or a Childs life then LET’S do that together.

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
