Jacaranda International School, situated in the heart of The Reeds, Centurion, has embarked on an inspiring initiative to rejuvenate a beloved community park, Kolgan Park. Understanding the importance of environmental protection and community engagement, the school is rallying together students, parents, and local residents to partake in a collective effort to clean up and revitalise this cherished green space.

Recognising the vital role that such public spaces play in enhancing the quality of life for residents, Jacaranda International School aims to set an example of active participation and social responsibility.

The Kolgans park, 52 Rooihuiskraal Rd, The Reeds, Centurion, has long been a treasured spot. However, over time, neglect and environmental challenges have left the park in need of attention and care. Responding to this need, Jacaranda International School is stepping forward to spearhead a campaign that not only addresses the physical cleanup but also aims to instill a sense of ownership and pride among the local residents.

The initiative invites volunteers from the school and the broader community to come together for a series of cleanup events. Tasks include litter collection, landscaping, painting, and general maintenance to restore the park's beauty and functionality. Through these collective efforts, the aim is to transform the park into a vibrant, safe, and inviting space for everyone to enjoy. Therefore, we are accepting donations that will be used to obtain soil, fertiliser, seeds, paint etc.
