Good day,
My name is Izane Husselmann, and I am a 32-year-old residing in Swakopmund, Namibia. For almost 7 years, I have had what seems to be a cyst in my mouth, which has grown larger over time. After consulting a specialist, I was informed that a biopsy is necessary to determine if it is cancerous before removal, considering the potential risks if it is cancer. Despite my belief that it is not cancer, I lack medical aid to support the required procedures.
Currently employed, I am unable to fund the necessary steps. The specialist estimates the biopsy alone to cost approximately N$4000-5000, with an additional N$7000-10000 for the removal. The specialist also suggested a special diet for about 3 weeks to prevent infection after the procedure. Although I live in Swakopmund, the operation needs to be conducted in Windhoek. I plan to travel to Windhoek for a week to complete all required tests and move forward with the operation under the care of Dr. Myburgh, an Oral and Hygiene Specialist.
