Meet Inge:  a warrior, a mother of two energetic boys, a wife and partner in crime to her loving husband Chris, and a friend who is as rough around the edges as she is unforgettable.

 

The Challenge:

Inge's indomitable spirit faces an uphill battle against the financial barriers of cancer treatment. Despite her resilience, her current medical coverage falls short of providing the crucial treatments she urgently requires. The process of changing her benefit option to give her access to treatment, is proving to be a lengthy ordeal, and time is a luxury she cannot afford. The urgency of her situation cannot be overstated— and every moment lost increases the risk of the cancer spreading unchecked. Inge's fight for life hangs in the balance, and swift action is imperative to ensure she receives the treatment she desperately needs.

Inge's battle against cancer is not just a fight for her health; it's a struggle against mounting financial burdens that threaten to overwhelm her. As a chef, Inge's inability to work has forced her to let go of her restaurant in Graaff-Reinet, a heartbreaking decision that has further strained her financial resources.

Inge's boys attend school in Port Elizabeth and reside in a hostel, making the financial strain even more pronounced as they can only travel home every other weekend.
