Request for Sponsorship, Miss India Leigh Arends
Durbanville Majorettes is a development team in their 6th year of competing. We have both a Junior (Primary School) and Senior (High School) Team. We currently have 53 Athletes.
We are proud members of Registered NPO, The Federation of Dance, Drill, Cheerleading and Majorette Sport South Africa (FDDCMSA).
Due to the Economic Crisis most Families face, due to the Pandemic, we continue to take little to no fees since 2020. We rely heavily on Fundraising and Sponsorships. Our Fundraising Initiatives are challenging as we do not necessarily want the Families to bear the additional expenses and therefore, we are reaching out to and your business for any donation you are able to make for our Majorette.
2023 we were blessed to compete at a National Level at our National Championship in Cape Town. Results herein attached.
Our team will be attending our FDDCMSA National Championship in Gauteng this year, representing FDDCM Western Cape where teams from all over South Africa will gather to compete for the National title. This will take place 28 June – 3rd July. We as a team are accountable for our own Affiliation Fee, Transport Cost, Accommodation Cost, Meal Cost and Clothing items needed for Nationals 2024.
As a sport that requires the assistance and support of the community, corporates, and businesses to help keep the “Drummies” dream alive, we would like to extend this humble request for sponsorship to you to support India Leigh Arends.
Our total squad of +- 53 comprise of incredibly hard-working girls from all walks of life – aged between 7 and 17 years old who practice up to 14 hours per week inclusive of Saturdays and school holidays.
India Leigh Arends is one of our amazingly talented and hardworking junior majorettes in need of your support.
