My name is Ifeoma, and I've had a very unfortunate medical history. I live a daily struggle of unmanageable pain caused by an unidentifiable systemic illness. I've been through several tests - some invasive, some not - and admissions. I've been through private and public medical care but have so far not been able to find a diagnosis. I've exhausted the resources in my capabilities and would like your help to continue my journey through the health system and finally find answers to what has upended my life.
This systemic illness suddenly appeared in February 2022. Since then, I've been diagnosed, undiagnosed, and misdiagnosed. The illness would often manifest through visible inflammation - usually in my eyes - but its true effects aren't visible. Malaise, fevers, dizziness, night sweats, migraines, loss of appetite, cerebral edema, lymphadenopathy, weakness, loss of vision and hearing and tissue calcification. Throughout my life I have always been an active and healthy young lady. Now, I can barely stand up without assistance. I've been stuck in a cycle of hope and disappointment for years and would deeply appreciate a reprieve from the psychological and financial torment this is brought about in my life.
