My greatest desire has always been to become a mother, but in 2017, a cancerous tumor was discovered in my womb, leading to an urgent hysterectomy. However, with God, all things are possible, and on April 9, 2021, I received the most miraculous birthday blessing when a beautiful little girl was placed in my arms. Fittingly, her name was Hope.
I loved her instantly but instinctively knew that the journey would not be an easy one. She was two and a half months old at the time, and it was already evident that there would be some developmental challenges. Nonetheless, I started the adoption process and took her to the clinic's occupational therapist for an assessment. We began therapy to improve her mobility and were referred to a pediatrician.
At the age of nine months, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and when she turned one, Epilepsy was added to the diagnosis. I was informed that her chances of ever sitting or crawling were slim, but this determined little girl did indeed do both. Although her development was delayed, she started sitting just after her first birthday and rolling around to reach toys.
After her second birthday, she started to crawl in her own unique way, and she is quite an active little girl regardless of her challenges. High muscle tone due to Cerebral Palsy on the right side of her body, especially her right leg, proves to be a challenge. She received a Botox procedure to help straighten her feet and will need the correct gait trainer to enable her to walk.
Unfortunately, Cerebral Palsy is not seen as a PMB by medical aids, and thus they do not pay for some medications and equipment that she needs. My little Hope turned 3 now and desperately wants to stand and move around like her friends. Although I will do everything I can to give Hope the best, I do not have the means to provide for all her medical needs and, therefore, need your help.
The funds raised will be used for all her medical expenses and equipment. Thank you for helping me give Hope the best chance.

In 2017, cancer dashed my dream of motherhood, but on April 9, 2021, Hope came into my life. Despite facing Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, she's defying expectations, learning to sit and crawl.
