Personal message

I am a breast cancer survivor and have been approached by The Breast Health Foundation to join in a first-of-its kind summit to Mount Everest. This, I am embarking on alongside 7 other breast cancer survivors to raise funds for the organization and put the spotlight on this disease – 8 women from SA, who have never climbed even a hill but conquered cancer will now be climbing the highest mountain in the world!

Our aim is to climb for 14 days to reach Everest base camp (closest village is Gorak Shep) – this is an estimated 5643m high. During the next few months, we will be hosting a myriad of fundraising events in aid of breast cancer awareness and putting the spotlight on this initiative. The primary objective is to financially empower the BHF to continue its work in South Africa (profile attached).
