HELP GREYTON FARM ANIMAL SANCTUARY SAVE LOLA, HOPE, AND CELESTE

Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary, home to over 200 rescued farm animals in the Western Cape of South Africa, has recently entered into a partnership with the local Municipal Animal Pound.  This has given the sanctuary access to some of the most neglected, abused, and broken farm animals in the area.

The short film tells the story of Celeste calf, Lola, and Hope piglets.  Given not one more day to live by our vets when they were picked up, these three special beings are making a remarkable recovery.

Deep wounds that endangered their lives are being treated and are healing thanks to the support of our vets and the hard work of our animal caregivers headed by Manager, Ever Bwailia, otherwise known as the Wound Whisperer.  His special care has given all three animals a chance of a complete recovery.

The three will spend the rest of what we hope will be long lives here at the sanctuary receiving constant love and protection, with all their needs met.  The sanctuary goes to special lengths to save farm animals, to offer a completely different end of a spectrum that is sadly weighted in favour of suffering, abuse, misery, and pain for most pigs, cows, and sheep.

Now there is another aspect of that spectrum – doing everything it takes to save a life and to then hold that life in a circle of love and care for the rest of his or her natural time on earth.

The vet care of Lola, Hope, and Celeste, and some of the other equally sick, injured, and neglected animals we have recently rescued is placing us on the back foot financially and we urgently need R60,000 to pay our vet bills and the ongoing costs of the care of these special beings.

Help us to build a world in which our love is extended to all animals, including the ones we usually think of as ‘meat’ by supporting our efforts to restore Celeste, Lola, and Hope to perfect health and a life of love and happiness here at the sanctuary.
