On Monday, February 5th, 2024, what began as an ordinary day quickly turned into a nightmare. Our family was involved in a devastating car accident that left my husband fighting for his life due to severe blood loss. Immediate surgery was necessary upon arrival at the hospital to address the damage to his veins and muscles, with no time to spare. As the primary breadwinner, his inability to work has left us in a precarious financial situation.
In addition to my husband's injuries, our three-year-old son sustained facial lacerations and is grappling with emotional trauma. My husband's profession as a Boilermaker relies heavily on his manual dexterity, further complicating his recovery.
Compounding our challenges, we lacked insurance coverage for the vehicle, leaving us without transportation. We appeal to the kindness of others to help us navigate this difficult time. Each day, we strive to cope with the emotional aftermath of the accident as a family, but the physical toll is undeniable.
I, too, am in significant pain, with injuries to my chest, back, and neck from the impact. Rebuilding our lives requires access to reliable transportation, which is currently beyond our means. Your generosity can make a world of difference by enabling us to purchase a safe and dependable vehicle, providing mobility and security for our family.
