Join Us, the Rainbows and Smiles Team
Raise awareness, help spread information, support, and love. Their fight matters.
You are invited to participate in our Brain Tumour Walk in May 2021. A virtual event where we all can come together to find strength, connection, and hope.
The average person walks between 5000 – 7500 steps per day. We ask that you increase your steps to 10 000 steps per day. You can walk, run, or hop. You can “bank" steps for lazy days or exceed your target to help us achieve our mission. Your goal is to walk 310 000 steps in May 2021, which is a total of 236,2km.
The circumference of the Earth is 40 075km (meridional circumference is 40 008 km).
We would need about 170 people to make this happen. Please walk, run or hop with us.
Entry fee: (free but please register on www.rainbowsandsmiles.org.za so that we can track entries)

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
