Personal message

We did a swim across Lake Malawi in a new record time of 7h53min. 7 of us finished the full swim together and a further 21 completed a relay.

All of this was in aid of raising funds for three children's charities:

  1. A clinic in Malawi (http //www.billysmalawiproject.org/)
  2. The Teddy bear clinic (http://ttbc.org.za)
  3. The Geleentheid Trust (http://www.geleentheid.org.za)

To raise further funds I took up a challenge of flying home in my swimming costume. The team pulled together an additional R32k for this challenge.

While it seems on social media that I may have offended some people, this was not my intention and I do apologize. The officials at Malawi were great and asked me to get dressed (which I did). It's a truly wonderful country with wonderful people.
