Personal message

I am a father of two amazing children and the husband to a beautiful remarkable wife. Lately I have realized that I have not spent enough time concentrating on taking care of my health or spending enough time on the really important things in life like my family and helping those in need.

That is about to change.

I decided, not only for me, but for my family, that I will prove that the saying “Can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is wrong. So to start this new journey I have decided to enter the Cape Town Cycle Tour and join the Home of Hope “Ride for a Child” Fundraising team.

This is my chance to do something I can be proud of by raising funds for these little ones that have nowhere else to turn. The child to whom I am making my commitment is Sipho who I met at my visit to Home of Hope. Hundreds of children are neglected or abused in this country daily, Home of Hope can’t save them all but with our help they can save some.

Please open your hearts and wallets and make a donation, Sipho is counting on me and I am counting on you to make sure I do not to let him down.

Thank you.

Charity Default Logo

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.

The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
