My name is Isolde Hesse and I have a beautiful daughter named Giselle Hesse. We live in Cape Town, South Africa. Giselle is 16 years old and has been dancing since she was 4 years old. 

The DanceStar World Dance Masters is an international dance competition held annually in Croatia. The next competition will be held from 20 to 26 May 2024. The venue is the city of Porec.

Dancers from South Africa can only compete at the DanceStar World Dance Masters 2024 in Croatia by qualifying at the DanceStar South African Qualifiers OR qualifying the day before the main event in Croatia. SADanceTalent supervises the South Africa team during the tour. The tour to Croatia and attending the DanceStar World Dance Masters is really a fabulous and spectacular once in a lifetime opportunity, the main goal of each dancer being to treat this as a learning curve, broaden dance vocabulary through workshops & observing other styles of dance from the many countries represented there. Winning a trophy or award at this level of competition will be the cherry on the top.

My daughter, Giselle, qualified to represent South Africa this year (2023) in America (she qualified by competing at South African Championship Of Performing Arts - "SACOPA" - in Rustenburg, South Africa in 2022), but the cost of the opportunity was too much. She has worked extremely hard this year and was given another opportunity to represent South Africa in 2024 at the DanceStar World Dance Masters in Croatia. 

Sponsorship opportunities for dance in South Africa and further afield is almost non-existent. Although a beautiful country, South Africa has many other priorities. Giselle has been dancing for most of her life. It is a beautiful form of expression which takes many hours of dedication, time and effort. It is the one place where she feels confident and where she is able to express herself and convey what, in many cases, cannot be expressed in words. It is a beautiful art form and is something which everyone can appreciate and understand, regardless of where one is. She has put in so much work and effort and I would love to help her realize this opportunity. With your help I believe we can make her dream possible. The R60 000 target will go towards the cost of the dance package (including board and accommodation), flights and visas.
