My name is Gertdiederick Bothma, and I've been caring for my father since he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2020.

On February 6th, 2024, we received the CT report indicating that the cancer had spread to his brain, necessitating immediate radiation treatment for the tumour. We reside in Prieska, North Cape, which means we must travel to the Provincial Hospital in Kimberley for his treatment.

Unfortunately, my father does not have medical aid coverage, and therefore, we are reliant on the Provincial Hospital for his care. Given the distance between Kimberley and Prieska, I am reaching out for assistance to cover the additional costs, living expenses, and transportation required to ensure my father receives the necessary treatment and support during this challenging time.
