Personal message
Every year thousands of babies are abandoned in hospitals or left to die in South Africa. According to the Department of Social Development, the primary reasons include financial issues, lack of family support, unwanted pregnancy, violence against women resulting in pregnancy (rape), resentment towards the baby and fear of judgement from family members.
Caring for newborn babies and connecting them with their forever families is one of our values. We provide a loving, caring, homely environment addressing each abandoned baby's needs and enabling them to grow to their full potential. Botshabelo engineers the process of settling babies with new families including legal, and psychosocial support required. The objective of overseeing this process is to ensure that babies are settled with secure families and some form of a predictable future. We build health and strength in these vulnerable little ones so that they are physically, emotionally, and socially prepared to connect into a Forever Family (families who adopt) with a foundation for success.
Caring for this tiny babes does not come cheap.... We would love for you to come along on the jounery and help us with a portion of the medical expenses that come with having to care for these beautiful little ones.
We give only the best to our babies in our Home - From play therapy, doctor appointments, medication, vitamins and Occupational Therapy, we make sure they are well looked after.
During this week of Valentines Day - spread some much needed LOVE towards our medical bills.
HAPPY VALENTINES WEEK
