We are attempting to try a different route never swum before, and according to the CLDSA swim records we will be the first relay team and the first to swim this specific route ...Hangklip to Cape point!!! 37kms.... Expected water temp is 13deg , wind 10knots and we hope the Great White Sharks are sleeping.

We are Chartering a 8 seater boat as our main boat led by Tony and Derrick and additional support boat and rubber ducks which will act as a roving boat watching out for wildlife and adding support for the swimmers. 

We will be supporting Atlantic Hope a registered non-profit organisation (085-420-NPO) based in Cape Town, South Africa. They are a Place of Safety for vulnerable and abandoned babies – they provide temporary emergency care for babies that have been abandoned, removed from their guardian’s care for drug/ alcohol abuse, neglect or suspected child trafficking, or are babies that are awaiting adoption.

Atlantic Hope provides basic developmental, physical and mental care. Medical needs are prioritised, and they provide nutrition, shelter, health care services and give these babies the maximum nurturing and care that they need as they begin their lives in the absence of their parents. Atlantic Hope is legally approved to house up to six babies at one time. They provide the much needed care whilst legal decisions and proceedings determining the child’s future are conducted by the social workers, in the most loving and peaceful safe haven.
