Jarod Pretorius(grade 9 Westville Boys High pupil) has successfully completed the Midmar Mile event for the past seven (7) years. This year he plans to swim five (5) races over race the weekend of 10 & 11thFebruary 2019.This means that he will be attempting to complete his 25thcrossing Midmar Mile. 

Ethan Pretorius(grade 8 Westville Boys High pupil) has successfully completed the Midmar Mile even for the last past five (5) years.  He plans to join his brother in a quest to swim five (5) races over the 2019 Midmar weekend helping to raise money for our chosen charity.

 

WE HOPE TO SWIM A TOTAL OF 10 MILES OVER RACE WEEKEND!!!!

 

For the last few years we decided to assist a charity with fundraising and we chose Rainbows and Smiles. This charity assists KIDS that have been diagnosed with Cancer. Last year we were able to raise R8817.68 on behalf of the charity, but are hoping to increase that amount this year.

Now… some might not know what Braveheart is all about. Braveheart (Hanno Lewis) was diagnosed with cancer in June 2013. He became in ANGEL on 19thof July 2014. The amount of children with cancer is beyond belief. 

Some of the children have no medical aid, or both mom and dad had to stop work to look after their child. So, this is where Rainbows and Smiles comes in.
