Personal message
As an organisation we have always believed in the power of relationships. We see daily what is made possible in individuals and communities if they have someone walk alongside them, supporting their development. As we move onto the next two decades, we want to widen our reach and deepen our impact. We invite you to walk alongside us as we build resilience and well-being, transform communities, and advocate for systemic change.
Youth Programme
Our Youth Programme works with young people transitioning out of child and youth care centres and supports them up to 3 years by providing mentoring, support with education, internships and accommodation support. We walk alongside young people because we believe that every young person deserves an opportunity to reach their full potential regardless of their background.
Health Programme
Our Health Programme transforms communities through early health intervention by managing and supporting community health challenges such as HIV/AIDS, TB, GBV and chronic diseases related to stress. Our programme also promotes well-being and healthy living, nutrition and food garden establishment. We believe that our health is our wealth.
Success stories
"I was once incredibly shy and struggled to interact with others. However, my journey with Mamelani changed everything. Through Group Sessions and mentorship, I gained the courage to speak up and ask for what I wanted. Thanks to an opportunity to attend a barista course, I now work as a barista, engaging with people every day. Mamelani Projects transformed my shyness into confidence, allowing me to thrive in connecting with others and pursuing my dreams." - Benni
"Mamelani helped me develop resilience in everything. The organisation has supported me in always giving my best, and through the opportunities I've had to share my story. I have grown as an individual. I am who I am today because I stayed strong through it all, and that's what Mamelani constantly reminds me: Dala what you must." - Donnay
"Mamelani helped me to be where I am today. I joined Mamelani's Community Development Champion programme in 2016 and was nominated to attend skills training in sewing. Mamelani supported me for the duration of the three-month course. Today I have a skill no one can take from me. In my community, I am training other women who are not working so that they can generate income. I am motivating people to be part of Mamelani, because as a single parent today I am helping other women like me." - Thandiswa
Please support us as we continue changing lives and transforming communities.
