Following my battle with post-Covid lung damage, my lungs are experiencing clotting and fluid buildup, necessitating the purchase of an O2 machine and nebulizer. Additionally, the ongoing weekly doctors' appointments, along with the required medication, have placed a financial strain on me.

In the absence of medical insurance in rural South Africa, where the government healthcare system is facing considerable challenges, obtaining necessary medical attention has proven to be an uphill task. Despite an eight-month effort to secure an appointment at a government clinic proving unsuccessful, I turned to Dr. Tini de Boer, associated with a non-governmental organization, who has made the treatment somewhat more affordable.

As I strive to secure funding for my ongoing treatment and eventual recovery, my heartfelt desire is to reunite with my children and grandchildren in the USA, whom I have not had the chance to meet in the past nine years. The challenges of living without medical insurance in this environment have highlighted the importance of external assistance.
