Personal message

The joy of trail running lies in far more than reaching a finish line. 

For me, it lies in overcoming a challenge, persevering when the circumstances are tough, pushing my personal limits, defying normal and navigating unexpected obstacles. There is nothing more exhilarating than tasting freedom as my legs carry me to beautiful places that few people are fortunate enough to ever experience.   

Running has provided me with a platform to use my story to encourage and inspire others and to uplift and give back to the community wherever possible. I have been involved in successful fund raising programs in the past and see this as an opportunity to raise more awareness and funds for SANParks, the body responsible for managing South Africa's national parks.
