Hello everyone,
I'm Dorianne Botha, reaching out for assistance for my dad. He recently underwent surgery, losing his left leg due to complications from diabetes. While his recovery is progressing well, the state hospital's backlog on making prosthetics has left him in a challenging situation. His job in retail requires him to be on his feet, and the delay is impacting their financial stability.
We consulted a private orthopedic surgeon who can provide a prosthetic promptly, but the cost is R30,000, and unfortunately, we don't have medical aid.
