Hi there! I'm Dawn, and I want to express my gratitude for giving me the chance to share a bit about my journey.

I'm a hardworking individual from South Africa who has dedicated a lot to my work. Unfortunately, I've pushed my body to its limits, and now I find myself at a breaking point, seeking some assistance.

I recently discovered that I need another full knee replacement, as shown in the X-rays I've attached from Portshepstone Regional Hospital. Three years ago, I underwent a knee replacement, but it left my leg shorter. Currently, I'm on a waiting list for another surgery, but I've been informed that it might take another five years.

The difficulty in walking has forced me to leave my job since I can no longer perform tasks that involve steps. This lack of activity has led to weight gain and a decline in my overall health.

All I want is to walk normally again, without people questioning why I'm walking differently. I dream of strolling on the beach with my husband or playing with my precious grandkids without having to make excuses or pretend I'm not in pain. Walking upright is crucial for my employment prospects, and I'm reaching out for support to regain that ability.
