WIN A LIMITED EDITION SIGNED PRINT!! Why Soccer in the Wilderness?...
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Soccer in the Wilderness was created to coincide with the 2010 Soccer World Cup that 'kicks off' in South Africa next year....very exciting indeed! CITW better known as the Children In The Wilderness environmental and educational programme, came up with this novel and unique fundraiser to ensure the success of future community upliftment programmes.
Africa is probably the biggest (by number) supporter of soccer on the planet and the staff in our camps are absolutely crazy about the sport. The novel idea was born to make teams participate in a 'round-robin' competition. Teams have been chosen from various camps within the Wilderness Safaris Botswana group and inter-camp play-offs will take place starting in March 2010...in true soccer spirit. The teams are practising like mad when they have free time and the competition between them is really healthy and very positive.
As a bonus, I am donating a limited edition print of two cheetah (pictured in the display image above) crossing the flooded Savuti River. This print measures approximately 24" x 36" and is printed on canvas, in colour! To stand a chance of winning this beautiful full color print, donors who contribute more than $200 towards CITW, will automatically go into a raffle draw that will take place after the final match in May 2010. The lucky winner will be notified by e-mail and the signed print shipped to you!
