Personal message

My name is Daniel Nicholson.  I am a 40yr old Single parent to my 13yr old Son,Axel.

Axel's Mother,my Wife,passed away from cancer when he was just three years old...and while the years have had their ups and downs,We survived it and we're doing ok...until recently tho life took a downward turn and post covid period has left me clawing in desperation to get back on my feet again!

After many months of my son and I being apart because of financial constraints,(I was unable to afford a place to stay,so my Son is living with another family and I stayed at the George night shelter...) I have finally found a flat to share with a friend...and the best part is that it's so close to where my Son is staying that we've been walking to school together everyday for the last 3weeks and see each other every weekend!

Unfortunately, 3 seperate people that offered to help me with the deposit and first month's rent have simply not come to my aid after saying that they would...and I moved in based on their promises!

Now I basically have until the end of the month to either pay my deposit & next month's rent,or I have to leave(which means going back to the night shelter,hardly ever seeing my son, & losing the ability to earn extra income because you have to be in by 6pm or they don't let you in at all!)

I do have a job,and have been employed for a year...however my salary is only r5000 per month and I cannot afford a flat on my own,hence the need to share a flat.  The flat I'm about to lose is R6000 per month...my 50% of the rent is R3000 + R3000 deposit!

I can easily afford the rent,and just live very humbly on Min expenditure...but I just cannot afford that first full rent AND deposit...I have paid my rent but need to 0ay the deposit and 1 full month's rent in order to carry on staying here.

I am turning to this platform as my very last option and im truly hoping that someone could assist me...

I do not qualify for loans from any financial institutions because I ger paid in cash on a weekly basis...but I am quite prepared to pay back a loan from anyone who is willing to help me!
