Personal message

My name is Elouise, and im seeking to raise funds for Cynthia who is my eldest sister, who lives in Polokwane Limpopo South Africa, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in 7 years.

Cynthia is a single mother, her son  is entering into his last year of school in 2024. This also is supposed to be exciting, but now a dark cloud hangs over them.

My heart breaks when I think of how this must be affecting them, as I was only 17 when our mom passed away from cancer, she was the glue that held everything together when we lost her, it changed our lives, we were fortunate to have each other and our father still, but for him, he only has Cynthia, they have such a beautiful relationship, and I know this is going to be a very difficult time for both of them. No child should have to experience so much stress, no matter what age.

Cynthia will be seeing the same dr who treated her the first time, but she is situated in Johannesburg, so Cynthia will have to travel from Polokwane for all the necessary tests and treatments, her surgery is scheduled for January 2024, where more tests and scans will be done to see if the cancer has spread, which we are praying has not. And once she is strong enough after surgery, she will most likely have to have chemotherapy and radiation as part of the treatment plan.

Cynthia does not have medical aid, private health care is very costly in South Africa and when there is only one income it becomes almost impossible to afford.

The tests, scans, treatments ad travelling is definitely going to add a significant amount of strain on their mental health and financial situation. My main focus is to raise enough money to cover some of the costs, so that Cynthia can focus on fighting this terrible disease.

She has enough to worry about, and If we can all help to lighten the burden, I believe it will lift her spirit just a little, so that she can start to see the light at the end of this very long road that lies ahead of her.

Thank you for helping me make a difference in a beautiful woman's life, who deserves the best possible treatment under the circumstances.

Fighting cancer for a second time Campaign

Charity Default Logo

I'm Elouise, and I'm reaching out to raise funds for my sister, Cynthia, who resides in Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa.

Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in seven years, casting a shadow over what should be a joyful season.

Cynthia, a single mother, is facing this challenge as her son enters his final year of school in 2024. It's disheartening to think about the impact on them, especially given our past experience—losing our mom to cancer when I was 17. While we were fortunate to have each other and our father, Cynthia and her son now confront this difficult journey alone.

Cynthia, without medical aid, will need to travel from Polokwane to Johannesburg for tests and treatments. Her surgery is scheduled for January 2024, with subsequent chemotherapy and radiation likely. As the sole provider for her son, the financial strain is significant.

My goal is to alleviate some of this burden by raising funds for Cynthia's medical expenses. Your support can make a difference, allowing her to focus on fighting this disease without the added stress of financial worries.

Let's come together to help Cynthia see a glimmer of hope as she faces this challenging road ahead.

Thank you for contributing to the well-being of a remarkable woman who deserves the best treatment during these difficult circumstances.
