Personal message

We are two ordinary guys cycling over 1600km in support of mental health. 

Using nothing but our bicycles, some panniers and a whole lot of pedal power, our journey takes us from the bustling streets South of Johannesburg to the Free State, all the way down through the heart of the Karoo desert, into the luscious valley of Ceres and finally onto the shores of the Blouberg strand in Cape Town. Along the way we hope to elevate the conversation around mental health in South Africa and supporting SADAG at the forefront of this.

Amidst the growing global COVID-19 pandemic, the need for increasing support and awareness around mental health in South Africa has never been greater. In partnership with the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) and Cognition & Co, Cycle4MentalHealth aims to cycle over 1600km unsupported in an effort to raise funds for and elevate mental health in South Africa.

SADAG has been involved in promoting the cause of mental health nationwide for over 27 years and is the largest mental health NPO in South Africa.
