Personal message
Dear Change Maker,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, ARGUS 2014: Cycle 4FILLING Tummies.
Following to my initial and successful fundraiser of feeding six young tummies for a year through my 2nd 94,7km Cycle Challenge in Nov 2013,......the 9th March 2014 sees me taking on my very 1st Cape Argus Cycle Challenge in Cape Town and the PE Herald Tour as a precursor. This time, I am riding for EACH One TEACH One, and look forward to putting 10 children through preschool for the year.
Cycle 4FILLING Tummies is my personal social upliftment contribution that supports Afrika Tikkun (www.afrikatikkun.org), an NPO that is focused on the sustainable transformation of South African communities and eradicating the scourge of poverty. Their goal is to nurture and educate children and youth from 0-19 years of age, empowering them to develop into valuable, contributing members of society.
By choosing actions that bring happiness and success to all, a ripple effect is created that NEVER stops! And it all starts with one small act of love.
"Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime."
Thank you for your valued contribution towards my target of R21 600.

Afrika Tikkun

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
