At the age of 16, our loved one was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
For 21 years, he courageously managed this condition, but now, at 37, the disease has taken a devastating toll. Suddenly, he has lost 90% of his vision, robbing him of the ability to read, move around his home, and perform basic tasks.
His doctors have recommended an emergency operation that could restore up to 35% of his lost vision, offering him a chance to regain independence and quality of life. Unfortunately, state assistance isn't available for this procedure, leaving us to seek help from private institutions.
Compounding his challenges, our husband also battles end-stage renal failure since 2014, enduring immense physical and emotional strain.
