Children who are ill recover quicker with their parents close by. The Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital allows parents and caregivers access to their children 24 hours a day. The overnight resting place which the hospital presently provides for parents and families cannot accommodate all those in need of shelter close to their sick children. The Children's Hospital Trust therefore needs to raise ZAR7.2million to renovate and increase the capacity of the parent's accommodation at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
