Claire was diagnosed with Stage II Pleomorphic Invasive Cancer in 2016. She had Chemotherapy, bilateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy. She was given the all-clear until December of 2018 when she slipped and had severe pain in her chest. She was misdiagnosed for 4 months, but after an MRI in May 2019 it was revealed that her sternum was fractured in 3 places due to cancer destroying the bone tissue.
It was then that she was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. She is currently on palliative chemotherapy and bone strengthening infusions as the cancer has continued to spread to nearly all of her bones.
She has lived with this diagnosis with positivity and a kick ass attitude.
She has been approached by Robin Dennis to co-author an anthology called "Warrior Women Triumphs Through Breast Cancer". We are raising funds to pay toward the compilation, editing and publishing of this book.
