Personal message

Cape Kidney Association was established in 1978 (44yrs ago) with the purpose of assisting Indigent Kidney patients requiring dialysis three times per week for four hours. Many have to travel far to attend the Renal Units at the Provincial Hospital. Cape Kidney Association assists with monthly food hampers, bursaries, transport and accommodation where required.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown, we were unable to host any fundraising events which is our main source of income. We are now reaching out to Runners to participate in the Total Sport Two Oceans Marathon by supporting the Cape Kidney Association and assisting us to continue our work for Indigent Kidney patients.

We wish to express our very sincere ‘Thank you” to each and everyone who supported the Cape Kidney Association. Your support and participation are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Molly Fabe

Charity Default Logo

The Cape Kidney Association was founded in 1978 by a group of Nephrology Doctors and Nurses who saw the need to assist the Indigent kidney patients. Patients travel from afar as there are no dialysis units close by. We serve majority patients in the Renal Unit at Groote Schuur and Tygerberg Hospitals. Most of the patients are unemployed and some of them receive disability grants.
