Personal message

Good day everyone; I'm Martina Geyser.

I would like to create a Back a Buddy fundraising account for my friend Christina Van Zyl. She is constantly in severe and chronic back and leg pain due to a Back/nerve problem. The state hospital supplies only Panado tablets for pain, and it is not assisting with this severe pain.

She struggles to pay her monthly perception pain medication in the amount of over R700pm. She needs to go for a CT Scan, but the state hospital doesn't have the facility for the CT Scan; she needs to go private, and she doesn't have the funds to pay privately for the CT Scan.

My reason for raising funds for Christina is for her Monthly pain perception and for her to have a CT Scan. It breaks my heart to see her suffering day in and day out. She can't even pick up her baby.

If Christina can go for the CT scan, the doctors at the state hospital can schedule a date for an operation, but first, they need to see where and what the problem is; therefore, there is an urgent need for a CT scan.

If everyone can just donate a small amount, we can reach the amount of money Christina needs to go for the CT Scan. And then she can also afford her monthly pain perception.

The funds will be used as follow:
  • For Monthly pain prescription
  • For the CT Scan
  • For nighties and underwear and everything she needs to take with her to hospital. At the state hospital, they don't supply pillows, sheets duvet or blankets. Christina needs to take her own when an operation is scheduled.
Thank You for supporting our fundraising.

Kind Regards

Martina Geyser
