Sunday 7 June is National Survivors Day. CHOC WC appeals to all cancer survivors, their family and friends to commemorate this day, by participating in the CHOC Cancer Survivor Day Run/Walk on Sunday 7 June  -  walking 5km  to and from your homes between 06:00 and 09:00am. This Campaign aims to raise much-needed funds for services rendered to children and teenagers battling cancer and life-threatening blood disorders. Some of these services consist of - Home away from Home accommodation while undergoing treatment, transporting the kids to and from treatment centres to ensure that they don’t default with their treatments, practical and nutritional support, are some of the services to keep more than hope alive.

Your donation of R20 or more in commemoration of National Cancer Survivors Day to support keeping more than hope alive is highly appreciated.

Remember to wear your face mask and apply social distancing. Keep Safe

1. Accommodation at 3 CHOC Houses in WC
2. Practical and Nutritional support
3. Transporting families in CHOC Houses to and from Hospitals
4. Transport Fund
5. Financial Bereavement Support
6. Food Parcels

CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA is the only organisation in South Africa that provides comprehensive countrywide support for children with cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders, and their families. CHOC has a head office in Johannesburg, six regional offices, two branches, and 12 accommodation facilities close to treatment centres. CHOC relies heavily on corporate sponsors, donations from groups or individuals wanting to make a difference in the lives of these little ones.

Their comprehensive support improves the welfare and quality of care of children with cancer and offers families a wide range of psychosocial services and practical support such as counselling, free accommodation, free transport and transport fund to ensure that no child abandons treatment due to the family not affording transport costs, food parcels as they recognise the financial difficulties families often face and parent to parent support groups. CHOC also plays a leading advocacy role and promotes early detection to save lives nationally.
