Personal message

I experienced a motor vehicle accident on July 24, 2013, resulting in five different upper body injuries and a disability on my right side, affecting my chest, stomach, and right hand and arm. Despite filing a RAF claim, incompetent medical practitioners hindered a proper diagnosis. I eventually sought help from Dr. Russel Raaths, who quickly diagnosed a nerve root injury and paralysis in my right stomach muscle.

I was recommended for a CT scan, but RAF lawyers only covered the thoracic spine and not my chest and abdomen. Despite my efforts, the RAF lawyers refused to pay the remaining costs, closing the case. I continue to struggle with this disability and impairment and humbly seek assistance for the necessary diagnosis and treatment.

The CT scan on my thoracic spine revealed a nerve root injury and paralysis in my right stomach muscle, making it difficult for me to lift or carry anything heavier than 1.5 kg. I am also unable to turn sharply to the right or left or lift my arm to fetch something. Even simple actions like coughing cause a bulge under my ribcage, leading to discomfort and pain.

As a passenger in the vehicle, I experienced the collision when a fully loaded truck with a trailer lost control and collided with five vehicles. The impact initially hit my side, and then the back trailer struck the front of the vehicle.

I appreciate your time in reading about my experience and inconveniences. I kindly ask for assistance in raising funds for a CT scan and two consultations with Dr. Russel Raaths, totaling R3750. Your support is immensely appreciated.
