I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you in a time of great need as my wife has recently been diagnosed with Neurological dysfunction resulting from a pinched nerve at the C1 and C3, attributed to the deterioration of the vertebrae.

The repercussions of this condition are severe, causing agonizing pain in her left shoulder and arm, coupled with a gradual loss of function in her legs.

To accurately diagnose her condition, the orthopedic surgeon has recommended an MRI, an essential step toward understanding the extent of the issue. Regrettably, the MRI machine at Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth, a government facility, has been out of commission for an extended period and shows no signs of immediate repair, leaving us with an extensive waiting list.

As elderly Sassa beneficiaries with no additional source of income, we find ourselves unable to cover the costs of a private MRI procedure. The Mercantile Hospital in PE has presented itself as the most affordable option, providing a verbal quote of approximately R16,000.00.

The situation has been dire since February of this year, and my wife's health continues to deteriorate each passing day. We are faced with the harsh reality that time is of the essence, and we urgently need your support.
